I thought this is a good time to upload this song, as it is one of the darkest songs from my dark trilogy.
The song is a central part to the Mirror of the Night story and explores a theme
that is difficult for humans to grasp, which is the suffering of an immortal entity that cannot die.
It envies mortals, whose lives seem to it like a fleeting dream, and it despairs at the knowledge
that for it this dream will be never-ending.

I guess I wasn't done yet with my wolf songs.^^
I didn't plan it until it was finished but this song is now part of my Celtic story arc,
specifically the older arc that starts with "Ancient Storm".
For those who don't know, many of my Celtic songs are part of a large story
that I continued to build and expand in my imagination throughout the years.
It's currently separated into two timelines, the main story line concerns the life of a king
from legends and surrounding events, the second story line, which is placed in more ancient times,
is more centred around mythological themes.

"The Elder Path" is the origin of all of these stories, it's basically the "birth" of the Celtic epos.
I should really write it down properly once, because it's just getting bigger and bigger...

This song was directly inspired by the artwork from Sandara,
I wanted to make something that captures the innocence of a child but also the underlying depth of a magical history.
I realize now the picture is a fan art for a show, I think it's about Celtic themes,
which would explain why the artwork is so damn inspiring for me. xD

My song has nothing to do with that show though, just to avoid confusion.

One of the few emotional/sad pieces from "Darkness Eternal", rather than dark/scary.
I don't know what I can say about the song that isn't already in the title, I wanted to express the feeling of longing in music.^^
It's a song that gets straight to the point in a way, I didn't add any intro or nature sounds etc., so the melody completely owns this song.

I was hoping so much that I could finish this very special video before the end of the year, and I'm so glad I made it.^^
This year has been so painful for so many people, and I truly hope that this can give you all some well deserved relaxation and positive energy.
And honestly thank you so much for everyone who has supported me through all the years, you have no idea what a huge difference you make for me.
When I started this channel I was 19, and now this Christmas I will turn 31, which is just insane to me, it's been over 11 years!
This will sound cheesy but I don't care, it's just the truth, I owe you guys everything.
