(5E D&D) Lizardfolk Path of the Ancients Barbarian

    Veröffentlicht am 14.11.2016
With the arrival of two new resources for our 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons campaigns
we are able to weave together a fantastic new character: Aryte, the Lizardfolk Barbarian.

From Volo's Guide to Monsters we receive the Lizardfolk race, a cold, cunning and extremely pragmatic people.
With hardened scales acting as armor, skills to craft from the bones of their foes and a savvy ability to survive in the wild,
    Lizardfolk make formidable Barbarians.

From the Unearthed Arcana: Barbarian Paths, we utilize the Path of the Ancestors, one of three new offered there.
Those who follow this path follow the examples of their ancestors and call upon their powers to aid their allies and guide their steps.

Aryte is a very exciting character to create and I am quite eager to play her soon!

Going Berserk with New D&D Barbarian Primal Paths Unearthed Arcana Review

    Unearthed Arcana- http://media.wizards.com/2016/dnd/dow...

Wizards of the Coast have released the latest Unearthed Arcana that gives us some more options for playing barbarians
the most savage warrior class in the players handbook. Barbarians are great at filling the tank role in a party of adventurers.
The amount of damage they do combined with their ability to absorb damage during encounters and adventures makes the barbarain hard to ignore.
The barbarian is a classic fantasy trope loved by player and dungeon maste alike.
So now we can add these primal paths into our games and campaigns.

    Change Armor Class Calculations!

    Veröffentlicht am 14.11.2016
Scales like shields cover my character. His sorcerous bloodline, her lizardfolk heritage.
This natural armor they have relied on for years, and it is an important advantage
when it comes not only to the uniqueness but the effectiveness of their race or class choice.

But it is not so for some classes, where the system demands one armor class calculation.
This not only undercuts the mechanics of the racial or class ability but also makes absolutely no sense
when one pictures the situation at hand. In this video I offer three solutions to this glaring problem.

(5E D&D) New Barbarian Paths - Ancestors, Storm, Zealot

      Veröffentlicht am 02.01.2017
Taking a look back at one of the earlier class archetype releases in Unearthed Arcana, we delve into the Barbarian Paths.
The three, Ancestors, Storm and Zealot, all attempt to create a new source and focus of their rage.
Some of the flavor of these paths is truly fantastic and some of the abilities are really well thought out.
However, most of the abilities are painfully bad and in dire need of significant improvement.

In our review we cover all the aspects of these Paths, both the mechanical as well as lore and roleplaying,
and offer fixes to make these archetypes much more viable for actual play.
Tomorrow I'll showcase my own version of the Storm Herald.

Path of Wild Magic Barbarian in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything - D&D Beyond

Todd Kenreck & James Haeck discuss using the Path of Wild Magic Barbarian in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.
Elf, tiefling, aasimar, and genasi barbarians often seek this path, eager to manifest the otherworldly magic of their ancestors.

Path of the Beast Barbarian in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything - D&D Beyond

Todd Kenreck & James Haeck discuss using the Path of the Beast subclass for the Barbarian in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Beast draw their rage from a bestial spark burning within their souls.
That beast bursts forth in the throes of rage, physically transforming the barbarian.
