Our 'best spells' series concludes with the Arcane Trickster.
If you know your role, and your party enables it, you can achieve a lot as this archetype of the Rogue.

A spell that meets the criteria of "best" are ones that are good examples of the spirit of that class
and ones which are most effective in a variety of situations.
Your list will probably vary, and that is fine, and different campaign types may make one spell stand out from others.
Keeping variance and preference in mind here is my list of the best Arcane Trickster spells in 5E D&D.
