Best Star Wars Weapons | The StarWars.com 10

    Veröffentlicht am 11.12.2015
In this installment of the StarWars.com 10, the StarWars.com editorial staff ranks the best Star Wars weapons.

Sure, Star Wars has great drama about family, friendship, and good versus evil.
But sometimes you just want to see laser swords and things that go boom.
With that in mind, we’re picking the best weapons from the Star Wars films, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels,
ranking them on originality, impact, and cool factor. Sorry, logs. You didn’t make the list this time around.

    10. Wrist Rocket
For some weapons, it’s all in the wrist. That’s why this small but powerful rocket kicks off our list with a bang.
Put to good use by Death Watch, it’s perfect for getting rid of those pesky Jedi in two easy steps: aim and fire.

    9. Booma
Available in small and jumbo sizes, the booma is essential for battle droid demolition.
The projectile of choice for the Gungan Grand Army, these balls of electrified plasma pack a punch. .

    8. Flamethrower
Tired of the same old blasters and rockets routine? Then you should try a flamethrower.
Often wrist-mounted, it's a quality alternative for Mandalorians, bounty hunters, and droids alike. But the real proof of its coolness? One word: flametroopers.

    7. Thermal Detonator
Ah, the key to a Hutt’s heart. The thermal detonator is one of the galaxy’s most powerful explosives, useful in negotiations and an integral part of any bounty hunter’s arsenal.
Just activate, toss like so, and voila.

    6. AB-75 Bo-Rifle
For those who want their weapon to do a little bit of everything, nothing beats an AB-75 bo-rifle.
It shoots, it slashes, and it shocks. Our favorite Lasat loves it, and we can see why.

    5. Bowcaster
Introducing the finest in Wookiee craftsmanship. More powerful and accurate than standard blasters, the bowcaster fires a metal quarrel
encased in plasma energy -- and it also looks awesome. Whether your job is bounty hunter, or Rebel hero / mynock exterminoator, a bowcaster is second to none.

    4. Electrostaff
Need to fight a Jedi but don’t have a lightsaber? Not a problem. Take a long pole, add some electricity on both ends,
and you have all you need. But wait, there’s more – the electrostaff has a handy alternate function.

    3. Blaster
From cantina clashes to stormtrooper standoffs, the blaster is fit for any occasion.
Fun design variations make each unique, and different features make them versatile. Uncivilized? We beg to differ.

    2. Lightsaber
A handome hilt. A powerful ignition. A stunning blade and beautiful hum. The lightsaber is the galaxy’s most original weapon, from concept to looks, and no two are the same.
Whether used defensively or in a high stakes duel, nothing matches the majesty or awesomeness of a lightsaber.

    1. Death Star
The Death Star: an all-in-one tool of destruction and fear. The size of a moon with unequaled firepower, it remains the ultimate symbol of Imperial might.
Granted, you can’t hide the Death Star in an astromech or use it to shoot first in a cantina, but when a weapon can destroy a planet, it’s #1.
    Technological terror, indeed.

So what do you think? Did we overlook something? Did we nail it? Are we out of our minds? Comment and let us know.

    Best Lightsabers | The StarWars.com 10

    Veröffentlicht am 04.02.2016
If you love Star Wars, you love lightsabers – the coolest weapon in any galaxy.
With the start of a new era in the Star Wars saga, we think it’s time to name the best laser swords, ranking them on design, impact, and cool factor.

    10. Mace Windu
The power of purple. Mace Windu’s lightsaber stands out thanks to a very cool color, one befitting a Jedi who knows how to make an entrance.
It serves Mace well from dark magick witches to Sith Lords, and proves that lightsabers are heady weapons. Sorry, Jango.

    9. Gungi
If you were a Wookiee, what kind of lightsaber would you build? Aside from one that didn’t catch your fur, probably this: one with a hilt made of wood.
Padawan Gungi’s lightsaber shows that Jedi weapons can reflect personality, home, and heart. Just be careful around fire, Gungi. BECAUSE IT’S MADE OF WOOD!

    8. Count Dooku
A deep black, shimmering notes of silver, and an elegant curve. Count Dooku’s lightsaber is a beaut, matching the sharp style and cold demeanor of the Sith Lord.
And he puts it to good use against the most legendary of Jedi. Unfortunately for Dooku, however, it ends up in the wrong hands.

    7. Ezra Bridger
Part lightsaber, part blaster, a perfect weapon for an uncivilized age. Ezra’s lightsaber is effective against Inquisitors, stormtroopers, and friends dressed as stormtroopers.
Ultimately, this is something that only an inventive and unorthodox Padawan like Ezra Bridger would make, and that’s why we love it.

    6. Pre Vizsla/Darth Maul
Meet the darksaber: an ancient, one-of-a-kind Jedi weapon.
Centuries old and stolen during the fall of the Old Republic, the darksaber was passed down to Pre Vizsla and then claimed by Darth Maul.
It remains a mysterious – and haunting – lightsaber.

    5. Inquisitor
The weapon of choice for Jedi hunters: a double-bladed lightsaber with a disc-shaped handle.
It’s deadly, versatile, and if you ever encounter an Inquisitor, trust us: you do NOT want to see what else it can do.

    4. Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars Rebels)
Ahsoka Tano is a Clone Wars legend, a gifted warrior, and a total original. That’s why these white-bladed lightsabers fit her completely.
They’re a powerful reminder that Ahsoka is an individual. And as any Inquisitor can tell you, she knows how to use them.

    3. Kylo Ren
    Unstable. Ragged. Fear-inspiring. Kylo Ren’s lightsaber is like no other: a cracked kyber crystal is at its core, fueling three fiery blades;
its hilt is scarred and blackened; and its hum is a tormented growl. For a merciless dark side devotee, it’s terrifyingly perfect.

    2. Darth Maul
How do you make a lightsaber double cool? Easy – make it double-bladed.
Darth Maul’s weapon is jaw-droppingly awesome, and especially dangerous thanks to his acrobatic combat skills.
In addition, it takes a lickin’ and keeps on ticking’. Yeah, you do that.

    1. Anakin Skywalker
The lightsaber of legends. Built by Anakin Skywalker and passed down to his son, this lightsaber has played a part in acts good, evil, and galaxy-changing.
The amazing thing? Its story is far from over. We can’t wait to see where it goes next, and that’s why we rank it #1.

So what do you think? Did we overlook something? Did we nail it? Are we out of our minds? Comment and let us know.
